I started painting as a kid. By the time I was eighteen I knew this was the life. I trained at the Faculty of Art Education in Egypt, but the love for it came earlier than the technique did.
I worked on papyrus first. I was trying to wake the Pharaonic motifs up again, but in my own hand. That work got noticed, and then the canvas pulled me wider, into bigger formats, brighter palettes, faces, light.
Today the studio sits in Hurghada, on the Red Sea. Pieces leave from here for living rooms in Europe and the Gulf. La Boutique Art is the name I built around the work. It's been fifteen years now. Paint is still on my hands every morning.
I keep paint on my hands every morning.
